Building a Faster, Stronger Business
May 27–29, 2015 • Santa Clara, CA
“...amazing info, people, books—best conference ever!”
Paul Hyland, CTO Digital Operations, Education Week

Business at web speed.

We've expanded the scope of Velocity 2015. Why? Because instrumentation, optimization, and above all, speed—the drivers of successful web businesses—now apply to all businesses.

I loaded up on great ideas and am really looking forward to bringing them back to EA. We'll be a better team with new and innovative ideas fueling us. Thanks to all the cool people we met at Velocity.-Craig Skelton, Electronic Arts
Velocity is the best forum to meet with teams doing cutting-edge work in performance and operations. There's nothing else quite like it.- Eric Lawrence
Very cool experience! The keynote sessions were short and right to the point, never a boring moment! Meeting the vendors to discuss specific needs was great!- Michelle Nikulshin

Introducing a new Velocity.

We’ve seen a lot of changes since the first Velocity seven years ago. Many ideas, memes, and technologies have emerged—some as a direct result of Velocity. We’re seeing a new way of doing things—optimizing not just your website, but optimizing the technology and culture of your entire business. It’s not just about the Web and fast pages any more.

You’ll still find plenty of hard-core web operations and performance sessions at the conference. But the web-centric innovation sparked by the Velocity community has forever changed business-as-usual. So we’re broadening the scope of Velocity in Santa Clara to include the essentials of "Building a faster, stronger business."

A faster, stronger business is instrumented and optimized through tight feedback loops in both technology and human systems. Web ops and performance experts (including seven years of Velocity speakers) have long maintained that, to build a successful web business, culture is at least as important as hardware and software. Now the rest of the world is catching up.

We'll open registration the first week of February, so make plans to join us May 27-29 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California.

Help Us Support Technology and Diversity

NCWIT

To help support diversity in the technology community, while Velocity registration is open, we're raising funds to send to NCWIT, the National Center for Women & Information Technology. Please consider joining us in supporting this worthy organization by making a modest donation when you sign up. O'Reilly Media will match those donations at the end of the conference.
