This BOF session will construct an open demonstration using a Cloud based on Amazon’s AWS based multiple zone web sites. A site will be configured throughout multiple Amazon geographies. An industry leading open source based monitoring tool will be configured to detect increased simulated traffic. The monitoring tool will then alert an open source configuration management tool to provision additional resources. However, where it will get really interesting is when the CM tool provisions the new resources it will dynamically configure the DNS service to simulate geographically based load balancing. This session will be open-ended and will be extremely informative for both Cloud and Devops enthusiasts alike.
