MySQL Performance from Day #1
The internet is littered with stories of startups and big companies that have run into scaling or performance problems related to MySQL. It’s often not completely their fault. MySQL’s out-of-the-box performance lulled them into a false sense of security that resulted in little plannning or performance tuning.
In this session, we’ll look at common mistakes, configuration errors, and decisions that can make or break performance. Real-world examples will come from high profile web sites like Yahoo, Craigslist, and Friendster.
